Engineering Manager/Tech Lead

🟠 Details: 

Our client is the largest commercial casework and architectural millwork manufacturer in the United States. In 2015 the company was recognized as one of the fastest-growing wood manufacturers in the United States. This project aims to minimize the time needed to detect and emphasize certain categories of objects and text in architectural drawings.
We are seeking an experienced leader to establish our development process from scratch, manage a team of 2-3 developers, keep the client updated on progress, and be directly involved in the development and testing processes.

🟠 Qualifications : 

– 5+ years working with Python, C++, and other back-end languages and frameworks
– Experience with SQL, S3 DB
– Experience with REST APIs to push/receive data
– Knowledge of shell scriptings such as Bash or Python.
– Knowledge of version control systems such as Git
– Knowledge of CI/CD
– Experience with Prometheus/Grafana/Loki
– Familiarity with the agile methodology of software development
– Solid experience working with Linux/Unix platforms and AWS services
– Prior experience overseeing configuration management and release management teams is desired.

🟠Would be a plus

– Understanding of Machine Learning
– Experience with OpenCV

🟠 Responsibilities:

– Back-end server development
– Manage the configuration and release management processes.
– Support the creation of our machine learning workflow processes, including data collection and preprocessing, model design and training, and deployment of models into production
– Develop and implement coding standards, policies, and procedures.
– Develop and implement strategies for best practices in software engineering, ensuring optimal performance and product features.
– Oversee troubleshooting and debugging of software solutions.
– Monitor the progress of software development projects and ensure timely completion
– Monitor the performance of software applications and develop solutions to improve them.
– Develop and maintain automated test suites and CI/CD pipelines.
– Research and recommend new technologies and software development approaches.
